Densa, pequeña

The title refers to itself, to the protagonist astronomer Paulo C. Freire and to the object of his investigation: millisecond pulsars. In January of 2004, the arist began a conversation with a pulsar astronomer about beauty, observation, pattern, error, precision, and aberration. This video is the result of that month-long conversation. It was shot at the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico, the largest radio telescope in the world, 1000 feet in diameter with a performance by astronomer Paulo Freire. The soundtrack, by Colm O Reilly is composed of field recordings in and around the observatory.
